Stockholm/Derby, CT – Dorothy I. Mansfield, 84, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011, at a Derby Healthcare Facility. Dorothy was born in Stockholm, Maine on April 16, 1927, the daughter of Raymond and Mattie (Parady) Palm.
Dorothy worked for many years as a nurse in nursing homes throughout Connecticut. She loved animals, enjoyed crocheting and making doilies.
Dorothy is survived by one son, William and his wife Claudia Sealander of Caribou, two daughters, Trudy and her husband Gary James of Scottsdale, AZ, Marina and her husband, Mark Wagner of Woodland, a sister, Betty Huber and her husband, James Huber of Chester, VA. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and a sister, Shirley Stephenson.
Memorial Services for Dorothy will be held in the spring. Interment will follow at Stockholm Cemetery in Stockholm. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.lancastermorgan.com
