LIMESTONE — Volunteers with the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge will be holding a snow shoeing event as part of their Second Saturday series.
“Show Shoe for the New You” starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge and will run until 3 p.m., sponsored by the Friends of the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge.
Participants are encouraged to bring their showshoes, skis and/or toboggan to take an unguided tour of the refuge’s trails and enjoy an outdoor, family fun event.
Should the wind be too chilly or for those wishing to abstain from the snow, there will be a powerpoint presentation on the refuge and an information session about nutrition education.
The Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge is located at 97 Refuge Road in Limestone on the Loring Commerce Centre.
