Hadley plans special party

PRESQUE ISLE — A local girl has a special birthday wish she’s hoping others will help make a reality.
Hadley McLean, the 8-year-old daughter of Tim and Holly McLean, of Presque Isle, underwent surgery in Boston to remove a malignant brain tumor earlier last year. The family has since found out she has inoperable cancer. Her ninth birthday is just around the corner; to celebrate, she’s asking for help raising funds for the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.
The event is planned for Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Aroostook Centre Mall.
“It’s a pink party. Hadley will arrive by limousine and will be made up at J.C. Penney. The party will take place from 1-3 p.m., with cupcakes for everyone,” said Kim Allen, who’s helping organize the special event.
All those wishing to help Hadley with her fund-raising celebration are welcome to attend.
