To the editor:
From all of us here at Homeless Services; the Board, management, staff, residents, and volunteers, please accept our heart-felt thank you for the tremendous outpouring of support and loving-kindness for us this holiday season. There are so many individuals, families, departments, and companies who delivered food, gifts for the residents, monetary donations, and many other things, it was simply amazing.
The children of the Shelter had a wonderful Christmas day in spite of the circumstances which brought them to us. All of the Shelter residents were astonished that folks in our community cared enough to make sure they had a nice Christmas. What an incredible community we live in here for folks to be so giving and caring, true champions against homelessness.
These are rough times for us with the future not looking so bright for the economy and the programs and services for the folks we serve, but it’s comforting to know we’re in this fight together. Thank you. Thank you for partnering with us in serving the individuals and families in crisis from our communities within Aroostook County — our friends and neighbors and family members. Thank you for touching so many lives through your acts of kindness and generosity. Thank you for caring.
From all of us to all of you, we hope you and those important to you have a prosperous new year, filled with peace and love beyond measure.
