Hitting the high notes

FOR THE FIRST TIME, Ashland District School hosted the Northern Maine Music Educators Association’s annual All-Aroostook Instrumental Festival last week.
The festival, which featured 137 of the best middle and high school student musicians from 12 county schools, was held Jan. 13-14. Pictured during Friday’s rehearsal are, from left: Mariah Davis (French horn) of Washburn District Middle School and Cassidy Pelletier (alto sax) of Ashland Middle School.
