    Sherman, Theodore R., 84, January 7, 2012.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.  Interment to be held in the Island Falls Cemetery.
    ISLAND FALLS – Theodore R. Sherman, 84, passed away January 7, 2012 at Compassionate Care Hospice unit in Trenton, N.J.
    Ted was born in Island Falls, the son of Maynard and Elizabeth Walker Sherman.
    Ted graduated from Island Falls High School, class of 1945 and the U of M Orono in 1949. He also attended Bryant College.
    After meeting his wife Dorothy, they moved to Mt. Laurel, N.J. He was a sales rep for Campus Classics and he also owned and operated a jewelry store in Harrisburg, PA.
    Ted was an avid church attendee, both in N.J. and Island Falls. He attended the Baptist Church in Island Falls, was a choir member and belonged to the men’s group. He will be missed by the many lives he touched.
    He is survived by a son, Samuel; brother, Harold and wife, Louise of Garland; grandchildren, Dale and Carole; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Marilyn Noyes.
    Ted was predeceased by his parents; wife, Dorothy; and daughter Rebecca.
    Services will be held Jan. 18 at Island Falls Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Greene officiating. Interment will be in the spring at the Island Falls Cemetery with Bowers Funeral Home.
