KONTIOLATHI, Finland — Russell Currier of Stockholm showed the world this week that he is no one hit wonder.
Just three weeks after his breakout World Cup sixth place in Nove Mesto, Currier again shot clean to earn sixth place for a second time this World Cup season.
After posting the second fastest second loop time and shooting quick and clean on the standing stage, Currier crossed the line just 15.3 seconds behind winner Martin Fourcade of France.
Meanwhile, Currier’s teammate Lowell Bailey (fifth place) led the U.S. men to a new best ever team finish with four men in the top 16. Tim Burke earned 13th place, with Jay Hakkinen in 16th place.
