Youth hoop tourney this weekend in Houlton

The Houlton Shires Invitational Basketball Tournament will be played Friday through Sunday at the Houlton Recreation Department.
Admission per day: $3 adults (18-62); $2 seniors (63 plus); $2 students (17 and under). Adult weekend pass is $5 and senior/student pass is $3.
    The tournament will feature teams from Houlton (2), Lincoln, Oakfield, Presque Isle, Caribou, Fort Kent and Holden.
The Houlton White team coached by Joe Porter includes Nick Brewer, Keegan Gentle, Nolan Porter, Pat Howe, Andrew Tuttle, Matt Tuttle, Cameron Callnan, Cole Winslow, Ben Grant and Colby Callnan.
The Houlton Black team coached by Paul Cleary and assisted by Paula and Chris Mooers includes Isia Bouchard, Dylan Carmichael, Mitchell Turner, Zach Hagan, Daniel McNally, Nathan Mooers, Cameron Cleary and Nick Perfitt.
The Oakfield All-stars, coached by Joe White, includes Dylan Crockett, Jonathan Hardy, Logan Markie, Gage Nelson, Stephen Radcliff, Gavin Caron, Jayden Burpee, Garrett Siltz, Vern Anderson, Jakob Malone and Morgan Kinney.
The tournament schedule is as follows:
Friday, 6 p.m., Houlton White vs. Lincoln and 7:15 p.m., Oakfield vs. Presque Isle.
Saturday, 8:15 a.m., Houlton White vs. Oakfield; 9:30 a.m., Caribou vs. Fort Kent; 10:45 a.m.,  Houlton Black vs. Presque Isle; 12 p.m., Holden vs. Oakfield; 1:15 p.m. Lincoln vs. Fort Kent; 2:30 p.m., Holden vs. Caribou; 3:45 p.m., Houlton Black vs. Fort Kent; 5 p.m., Caribou vs. Presque Isle; 6:15 p.m., Lincoln vs. Holden and 7:30  p.m.,  Houlton White vs. Houlton Black.
Sunday, 8:30 a.m., playoff one between No. 4 and No. 5; 9:45 a.m., playoff two between No. 1 and No. 8; 11 a.m., playoff three between No. 2 and No.7 and 12:15 p.m., playoff four between No. 3 and No. 6.
In the afternoon sessions, 1:30 p.m. winners of playoffs one and two, followed at 2:45 p.m. by winners in playoffs three and four. At 4 p.m., the losing teams of playoff five and six, followed by the final game at 5:15 p.m. between the winners of playoff five and six.
