Elementary children from Mrs. Sines’ class in Washburn enjoyed the Dr. Seuss Day celebration, marking the authors March birthday. CHILDHOOD MEMORIES — Students at Washburn District High School celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday by creating posters and edible books. Posing with her Dr. Seuss poster is Washburn’s Marlaina Spooner.
THE EDIBLE BOOK and quote, made by Nick Bragg, junior at Washburn High School, depicts a favorite quote of Bragg’s from one of Dr. Seuss’s many books. Bragg made it as part of a Dr. Seuss Day celebration.
