The radiant colors
That go from light to dark,
Living in a green world
that can stand out anywhere
Like a big beautiful butterfly
Dancing in the breeze
Their radiant skin
Is soft to the touch
They stand tall and strong
But after a hard day’s work
They pull their blanket
over their head
And hide the beautiful sunset oranges and reds
Until the sun
awakens them again

A Lonely Tree in Scotland
All alone
On its own
In a field of empty white
Nothing but white
A little tree stands
in the middle of it
Wishing it had a
lady tree to associate with
Or maybe share a glass
of apple juice with
But no
It was pointlessly planted
in a field
All by itself
With absolutely no purpose at all
What’s the point of its existence?
What sane person would plant a little tree out
in the middle of nowhere?!
It’s in Scotland you know
In Scotland
In a white field
With nothing
but its shadow to accompany it
The shadow is much bigger
than the tree it is portrayed from Stretching far along
the plain white field
But still, it is only a shadow
Offering absolutely
no company at all

Dark
Light
Dark
Light
Sky as bright as day
Now, dark as night
Purple and white sky
Brown land
Miles of nothing
Until you reach me
Climb my rocked edges
Heat surrounds you
Miles wide of open land
Dusty
Dry
Fresh air
Silent
You could even hear
Snake sss
Throughout the land
Sand paper grounds
High rock edged peaks
Small creatures scurry
Flash of light
Silent
Rumble
Flash of light
Silent
Rumble
My acres of land
are now full of fear
Animals hiding
Sky darkens
The air fills with freshness
The last flash of the night
The low rumble
Ending the storm
It all fades away

Just because I make mistakes doesn’t mean
I’m dumb.
I stand 9 feet tall.
I like to walk towards lights.
Sometimes if it’s bright
I can’t see,
then I run.
I like the muddy areas.
They’re fun to play in,
but some are hard
to walk through.
I’m strong.
I don’t like to be bugged.
It’s hard to walk through the woods sometimes.
Especially tight heavily wooded areas.
People call me dumb.
I’m really not.
I just brush it off
like it’s nothing.
Grazing through the grass;
it’s my hobby.
I watch people go by me.
Some even stop
and take pictures!
I feel famous when they do that.

Still Seaching
A call all alone
Resounding from a golden origin
On a chilly, spring morn
It shoots through the air
on a golden rocket
Beauty, power, and grace
envelope its being
Searching for something it can share its loneliness with…
Never resting until its mission has been fulfilled
It returns to its owner
Sad, desperate eyes are
born to its golden face
Born on wings, it lifts,
and glides away
Still Searching

Bottom of the Sea
On a rocky underwater surface
Five scaley arms lie calmly
Watching fish swim by
At the very bottom of the sea
Orange and floppy
Looks like part
of the ocean floor
Appears to be dead
But is alive as any animal
Blankly staring up
through the blue water
Keeping an eye
on the creatures of the ocean
