Kaos is a two-year old gray and black tiger-striped female cat living at Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR) in foster care. She is Leukemia/AIDS tested, wormed, distemper, rabies shot, Revolution treated and spayed. Volunteers comment that Kaos is beautiful, gentle and very, very loving. “She is a totally big and beautiful Feline,” they said. Kaos will be great with any size family including a live-alone person who just wants to have a very loving companion; her adoption fee is $40. Individuals interested in adopting an animal from the rescue are asked to call 492-1722 to schedule an appointment, as the rescue works by appointment only. HHPR members are currently collecting new and nicely used household items for the Trash and Treasure Sale at the Presque Isle Forum on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15; the volunteer group is also looking for additional support to staff the HHPR booth. There are currently 37 nice young adult cats and kittens looking for new homes; volunteers estimated that the kittens need three more weeks before adoption. Mandy McNeal with her cat Takara won our cat photo contest with 67 votes. Kathryn Harnish, HHPR’s Facebook Communicator, will be sending the winning duo a $50 Walmart gift card. The next HHPR photo contest starts the first of May. Additional information can be obtained by visiting the HHPR website at www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org and/or our Facebook page for Halfway Home and/or Norma Blackstone Milton Facebook page.
