Campbell to perform at Aroostook Centre Mall

PRESQUE ISLE — Maine native, singer-songwriter Don Campbell has spent most of the winter and spring in his Nashville studio, working on two upcoming CD releases, but returns home for several appearances this month, including a free Mother’s Day concert at the Aroostook Centre Mall at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 13.

Campbell, who plans to release a “Music of Dan Fogelberg” CD as well as a collection of his own original adult contemporary/folk-rock songs this summer, will perform music from both of the new CDs as well as traditional fan favorites. His wife, bass player Tonya Shevenell, will accompany him and special guest, Fireman Fred, will host the concert.

Performing over 200 shows per year between his duo, trio and band ensembles, Campbell splits his time between home studios in Cape Elizabeth and Nashville. He has performed on stages such as the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium and at Gillette Stadium and has opened for country, rock and folk greats such as Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, America, Three Dog Night, Jonathan Edwards, Shawn Colvin and many more.
