Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Tuesday morning, April 24, at the Aroostook Health Center. The special speaker was Kim McGillicuddy, a counselor that provides peer support through AMHC and the V.A. She spoke about Operation Outreach, a program that helps vets get their lives back on track once they get home from deployment in Afghanistan and Iraq.
A retired service member herself, Kim knows how much it can help to just have someone to talk to about your experiences. Operation Outreach offers counseling and other services to help vets readjust to life back home. They have 13 offices throughout Aroostook and Washington counties.
If you or someone you care about could use help, call AMHC at 800-244-6431. They’ll talk to you with complete respect for your privacy and understanding of what you’ve been through.
