Community Band Concert

PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle Community Band will present its Spring Semester Concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 7, in Wieden Auditorium.

A variety of musical selections will be performed including artists Reineke, Smith and Anderson, along with music from “The Muppets” and “Lord of the Dance. Admission is free. For more information, e-mail Pamela Kinsey at pamelakinsey@myfairpoint.net.

Reception for Class of 1962

    PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque will hold a reception for the graduating Class of 1962 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, in the Normal Hall Faculty Lounge. The Class of 1962 is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The event is casual with no admission fee. For more information, call Keith Madore at 768-9568.

BioMass Fair

    PRESQUE ISLE — There will be a BioMass Fair at the University of Maine at Presque Isle from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, in Gentile Hall. The fair is sponsored by the Aroostook Partnership for Progress. It’s a free event to educate the public and businesses about biomass potential and is open to the public. For more information, call 498-8736.

UMPI presents Warhol Exhibition

    PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle presents “Eye to Eye with Andy Warhol: The Multiples,” which will be on display May 4 through June 16 in the Reed Fine Art Gallery. The event is sponsored by the Maine Community Foundation, the Maine Arts Commission, the Bank of Maine Presque Isle and Morningstar Art and Framing.
