Mother/Daughter Banquet is Friday

The Mapleton United Methodist Church will be hosting its annual Mother/Daughter Banquet Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m. at the church. The meal will be potluck with rolls, desserts and drinks provided. All women and girls from the surrounding area are invited to come. There will be entertainment and fun for the evening. Please join us!

Fiddlehead Supper
The Chapman Ridge Runners will host its third annual Fiddlehead Supper Friday, May 18. This is always a popular supper so get your tickets early! The supper will be held at the clubhouse at 94 Town Hall Road. There will be two seatings; the first at 4:30 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited. Tickets are $10, advance sales only. No lines, the meal is served to you! Tickets are available from members or call Audrey at 764-1769 or Susan at 764-1236. Call today.
Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society
The Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society held its monthly meeting April 24. Our annual winter project selling candy bars was a very good fundraiser. Many thanks to all who bought a candy bar from us. This project helps to pay our light bill during the year. We would like to thank Clukey’s Auto Supply, the Mapleton Town Office and Chandler Farms for helping us with this project.
We also have about 45 cookbooks to sell. These cookbooks have over 200 recipes and make a great Mother’s Day gift. They are selling for $9 and can be purchased from any member or by calling 764-4826.
Remember our hall rental fee is $100 and can be rented for any occasions May through October. The rentals from the hall help us pay for fuel and insurance.
We need new members and ideas. Please consider an hour each month from February through November. Membership is only $10 per year for a working member, $15 per year for a non-working member, $100 for a lifetime membership, and $150 for a couple.
