    PRESQUE ISLE & LIMESTONE – Sidney Earl Goding, 63, son of the late Clair W. Goding and Maria (Ryder) Goding Chandler, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012, with his family by his bedside, at the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, after a long illness. He was born in Presque Isle, August 15, 1948.

    He had a love for country music, wrestling and playing skipbo with his daughter every morning.

He is survived by three daughters, Carol Goding and her partner, Larry Best of Limestone, Dori Desjardins and her husband, Fabien from Grandfalls, NB, Canada, Christel Wasson of Dover, NH; four siblings, Clarence Goding of Washburn, Nancy Haley and her husband, Linwood of Presque Isle, Henry Goding and his partner, Marie from Smokerun, PA; a step-brother, Keith Chandler and his wife, Rhonda of Madera, PA. Sidney also leaves behind three grandsons, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Elwood Goding; a sister, Carol Sue Goding; a step-brother, Gary Chandler; and a grandson, Patrick Desjardins.

    At his request, there will be no services. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to the Presque Isle Animal Shelter or to the American Cancer Society.
