WASHBURN NEWS
by Tomi Henderson
Washburn 5th and 6th graders had the opportunity to hear Doug Wilhelm, author of “The Revealers,†a book that addresses bullying.
WASHBURN NHS MEMBERS recently met with Doug Wilhelm, author of “The Revealers,†a book that addresses bullying, during a trip to Caribou. Pictured are the NHS students with author Doug Wilhelm, front from left: Seniors Michaela Bragg and Marcella Cheviot. In back are Junior Kolby Koch and Senior Kelsey Churchill.
These students were able to read and share the book’s message because four Washburn NHS students purchased 20 books for the middle school. “The Revealers’†novel was a city-wide reading initiative through the Caribou Middle School and the Caribou Public Library. Washburn students were grateful for the opportunity to go to Caribou and take part in the activities.
