Teams are getting their games in-between rain showers.
Southern Aroostook 11, Ashland 1 — The Warriors took a 2-1 lead in the third and broke the game open over the next two innings with four and five runs, respectively, for an 11-1 victory over visiting Ashland on Monday.
Pat Goodall singled twice and doubled for two RBIs, while Trent Cullinan singled and doubled to drive in two runs, as well. Gage LaFay doubled to bring in a run.
Hodgdon 10, GHCA 6 — The Hawks took the lead for good in the fourth, scoring two runs for a 6-5 lead over host GHCA in Hodgdon on Monday.
Tyler Sherman (who picked up the win) and Chris Hudson paced Hodgdon’s offensive attack with a double and a pair of singles each. Jonah Sarchfield singled twice and drove in a run.
For GHCA, Russell Socoby singled and drove in a run.
Houlton sweeps Madawaska, 8-1; 9-6 — Saturday was a day of doubleheaders, as Houlton hosted Madawaska.
In the first game, Hunter Hanning threw six innings of one-hit, one-run ball as the Shiretowners picked up an 8-1 victory. Hanning fanned 10 and walked two, while helping his own cause with a double, single and two runs batted in. Kole Buzzeo stroked a pair of singles.
In the second game, Houlton came from a 6-0 deficit to take a three-run win. Hanning hit a triple, double and single, driving in four runs. Buzzeo racked up three hits and three runs batted in, while Isaiah Straubel had a pair of singles. Alex Donovan drove in two runs with a pinch-hit single.
Southern Aroostook overtakes Fort Kent 9-4, 19-0 — It was a close opening game between Southern Aroostook and visiting Fort Kent. The northern Warriors led 4-2 until Goodall belted a two-run double to spark a seven-run sixth inning comeback. Parker Walker hit a two-run single, while Cullinan and Will McGary each doubled.
Southern Aroostook finished off the sweep in the second game behind the three-hit combination of Goodall and Cullinan. Goodall singled twice to drive in a run, while Gage LaFay had a pair of singles and Kaleb Burpee rapped a single to bring in three runs.
GHCA 28, Van Buren 1; GHCA 7, Van Buren 2 — Thirteen walks and nine errors led to a lopsided five-inning opening game win on Saturday for GHCA. Ethan Holmes had a double and three singles, while Deyrell Vargas and Brad Long each added a pair of singles.
In the second game, Vargas threw three scoreless innings and brought in two runs on a triple and single to help the Eagles to victory. Holmes and Jake Long each stroked a pair of singles.
Katahdin 14, Schenck 6 — The Cougars powered by the host Wolverines behind Jesse McNally’s two singles and two RBIs. Shey Lane, Spencer Anderson, Billy Livezey and Travis Gallagher all collected two base hits. Maverick Elwell also tripled for the winners.
GHCA 1, Shead 7; GHCA 3, Shead 9 — Last Tuesday, the GHCA varsity baseball team played a doubleheader against visiting Shead in Danforth, with the Tigers winning both games 7-1 and 9-3.
In the opener, the Eagles took a 1-0 lead until Shead scored five third-inning runs to pull away.
For the Eagles, Holmes hit an RBI-double and Socoby collected a pair of singles.
In the second game, the score was knotted 3-all until Shead broke it open with a six-run third en route to the win.
Adam Little paced GHCA with two hits, while Socoby and Vargas each singled.
Hodgdon 13, CAHS 3 — The score was tied in the fifth inning, 3-all, before Nick Lunn of Hodgdon hit a grand slam in the sixth and drove in three more runs in a six-run seventh to break the game open in Mars Hill on Friday. Matt Harmon slapped three singles to back Lunn who pitched five innings for the win.
For CAHS, Brendan York smacked a two-run homer and single, while Dan Brewer added two singles.

East Grand 10, Katahdin 3 — The Lady Vikings are 7-0 on the season after a 10-3 win over visiting Katahdin on Monday.
Shaunna Beaudoin led the East Grand offense with two inside-the-park home runs for six RBIs, while sister Kaitlyn earned the win, striking out 13.
Lizzy Knowles reached Beaudoin for a two-run triple in the sixth for Katahdin.
Southern Aroostook 14, Ashland 13 — On Monday in Dyer Brook, the Lady Warriors came from behind to edge the Hornets. The Lady Warriors scored twice in the seventh when Jess Tucker walked; Jillian Diaferio singled and Katie Goodall reached base on an error that brought in both runners. Mataya Hartin hit her first career home run — a three-run blast in the first — while she singled and drew a bases-loaded walk. Shanna Porter collected three singles.
East Grand 14, Wisdom 0 — Kaitlyn Beaudoin threw five scoreless inning, while striking out nine to lead her team to victory.
Beaudoin helped her own cause with a single, while scoring twice. Elisha Farley doubled for the winners.
Southern Aroostook overpowers Fort Kent 21-3, 22-10 — The Lady Warriors’ bats were lively as they swept Fort Kent on Saturday in Dyer Brook.
In the opener, Rochelle Sirois allowed four hits over five innings, while striking out six and helped her own cause with three singles and two RBIs. Olivia Raymond belted her first career home run, a two-run shot, along with a double and single. Sable Altvater also banged a two-run homer.
In the next game, Fort Kent led through four innings, but the Lady Warriors scored seven runs in the fifth to erase a five-run deficit en route to the win.
Raymond tripled, doubled, singled and drove in four runs, while Porter hit two doubles for three RBIs. Diaferio and Kaitlyn Sommers each doubled for the winners.
Katahdin 20, Schenck 3 —The Lady Cougars overpowered their hosts, as Megan Merry keyed the offense with three hits and four runs. Knowles added a pair of singles, while driving in three runs and scoring four. Ashley Randall pitched six innings for the win, striking out 10, while allowing six hits. She helped her own cause with three singles and two RBIs.
Houlton 15, Madawaska 8; Houlton 3, Madawaska 10 — The Lady Shires split with visiting Madawaska on Saturday, with Megan Hanningan powering Houlton to the opening win with two, two-run homers and double for six RBIs. Marina Cameron hit two singles, a double and five runs.
In the second game, the Owls capitalized on an eight-run sixth inning to pull away for the win.
Makala Folsom led Houlton with two singles.
East Grand 4, Jonesport-Beals 0 — It was a pitchers’ duel last Friday in Danforth, as East Grand’s Beaudoin threw a one-hitter through six innings, while striking out 13.
The Royals’ Morgan Merchant had 10 strikeouts, but East Grand’s Allie McEwen reached her twice for a single, while teammate Elisha Farley drove in two runs.
