PRESQUE ISLE – Maurice W. Parker, 85, died early Monday morning, May 21, 2012, at a Caribou health care facility. He was born on March 24, 1927, in Woodland, the son of Wilson and Minnie (Carmen) Parker.
Maurice worked as a bookkeeper for Rathbun Lumber Co. in Presque Isle for 32 years. He was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly in Presque Isle.
He is survived by a son, David Parker and his wife, Kate of Waterbury, Conn.; two daughters, Janet (Parker) Zappadiano of Wausau, WI, and Sheila Martin and her husband, Robert of Bangor; a sister, Pearl Drost of Caribou; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Grace (Churchill) Parker; a son, Bruce Parker in 2006; and a brother, Merton Parker in 2010.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Full Gospel Assembly, Dudley St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Kevin Kierstead officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville. Donations may be made in his memory to the Full Gospel Assembly, P.O.
