Wellington Elementary School children put on quite a Shakespearean show

    MONTICELLO — Young thespians brought Shakespeare to Aroostook County as Wellington Elementary School performed its 12th annual Children’s Stage Adventures program at the school Friday.
    Two performances were held, an afternoon show for first-graders from Houlton Elementary School and an evening show for family and friends of the cast mates.

    Children’s Stage Adventures is a touring team founded by husband and wife Lorrie and Rob Gray of Sullivan, N.H. The Grays formed their non-profit company in 1999, teaching and directing more than 7,500 students across the country.
    The Grays spent the week at Wellington Elementary School, teaching the students their parts for this year’s original show based on Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Dream.”
