Administrators and staff members from the Caribou Middle School participated in the school’s annual Eighth Grade Recognition Night held in the Caribou Performing Arts Center on June 6. During the affair, members of the Caribou Middle School Class of 2016 were recognized for their academic achievements and presented with certificates formally bringing to an end their careers as middle school students, opening the door to the next step in their education — becoming students at the Caribou High School.

The Caribou Middle School Class of 2016 recently participated in the school’s annual Eighth Grade Recognition Night held at the Caribou Performing Arts Center. The annual event marks the end of the students’ middle school years, sending them onward to their high school careers.
The eighth-grade students received their honor roll and recognition certificates presented by Susan White, CMS principal, assisted by teachers Mr. Travis Barnes, Mme. Carpenter, Mrs. Learnard, Mrs. Keaton, Mrs. Dow, Mrs. Sleeper, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mr. Fantasia and Mr. Habeeb.
Those receiving special awards, presented by Ms. White, included Ben Ezzy, Secretary of State Award; Molly Adams and Chathu Karunasiri, Principal’s Award; and Trevor Ellis and Taylor St. Peter, Personal Growth Awards.
Special entertainment during the evening event included a dance routine to the music of “Best Love Song” presented by students Molly Adams, Kate Finnemore, Anna Soderberg, Kelsie Washington, Irene Thibodeau, Maggie Cyr and Madison Staples.
Students Alexis Mclean, Krysta Marcoux and Brittney Willette presented a trio vocal selection of “Somebody”; Jensen Jones entertained via a piano selection of “100 Years” and “A Little More Homework” was sung by Kelsey Kiehn and Elijah Verhoff.
CMS underclassmen Nic Sleeper and Emerson Duplissie-Cyr were masters of ceremonies for the June 6 event.
