Samantha Wheeler and Courtney Anderson will attend the girls’ week of camp, which runs from June 25-29. Boys week is held June 18-22.

“We are very excited that both of these players are able to attend this camp,” said director Larry Gardner. “They have been in high demand for other camps throughout Maine and New England and we are very fortunate they chose to come to the County.”

Gardner stated this year’s camp will have some new features as well.

“Each year we try to add new things to the camp to keep it exciting for the players attending. This year we have added a Camp MVP Award,” he added. “Plus, for all eighth-grade boys and girls we will have a drawing to give away Boston Celtics tickets, UMaine tickets and gift cards to Wight’s Sporting Goods in Bangor. This is our way of thanking those eighth-graders who will be attending their last camp with us.”

In addition, he said all campers will receive a T-shirt and a basketball along with a free pan pizza, courtesy of Pizza Hut.
