Allen and Cote honored at LCS

Zach Cote and Amanda Allen were this year’s choices for the Pet Thornton/Howard Lello Athlete of the Year award, presented at Limestone’s spring sports awards program.

LIMESTONE — Amanda Allen was presented the J. Roger Bernard Athletic Director Award, presented annually for outstanding sportsmanship, while Allen and Zach Cote captured the prestigious Pet Thornton/Howard Lello Athlete of the Year awards at the annual spring sports awards presentation at Limestone Community School.

For middle level baseball, coach Pierre Huntress gave most improved honors to Bret Morgan, MVP to Joey Weeks and the Coach’s Award to Jacob Hatfield.

In middle level softball, coach Emily O’Neal’s most improved player was shared by Chelsey Pelkey and Sarah Hemphill. Kassee Albert and Jackie Peers shared the Coach’s Award.

Coach Glen Michaud of the varsity baseball team presented MVP honors to both Chris Bernier and Tristan Kirk. Dylan Nadeau was named most improved player and Zach Cote received the Coach’s Award.

Ryan O’Neal, coach of the varsity softball team, named Amanda Allen MVP and Daniele Pelkey most improved player, while Karen Page was the recipient of the Coach’s Award.
