CARIBOU — Jeremiah Fitzherbert’s team captured the 2012 Caribou Men’s Basketball League title, putting an end to Griffeth Ford’s stranglehold on the championship trophy over the years.
On April 30, Jeremiah’s team and Griffeth Ford played in the finals, which was very close all the way through.
Jeremiah’s team pulled away late in the contest and stretched it out to an eight-point win.
Greg Whitaker was high scorer with 20 points. Jordan Guy netted 19 and Spencer King put in 14 for the winners.
Griffeth Ford’s scoring column was led by Ghent Holdsworth’s 18 points. Shawn Manter was also in double figures with 11 points.
