‘Music in the Park’ offers July 8 concert

    PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle and the city of Presque Isle will host the second performance in the fifth annual “Music in the Park” Summer Concert Series Sunday, July 8 at Riverside Park from 1-4 p.m.

    This concert includes main act Wesley Allen Hartley and the Traveling Trees, from Portland. The second main act will be “Brown Bird,” a Rhode Island-based folk duo. They will be preceded by an opening act featuring “Travis Cyr and the Strings of Calamity.”

    Food vendors will be on site and people are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets. If the weather is unfavorable, the concert will be held at the University’s Campus Center. The series is free and open to the public.
