Among the PIRCTC students receiving honors were, from left: Casey Bonville, Emily Transue and Grayden Hemphill, pictured with Kimberly Hemphill, FBLA adviser. Bonville was chosen “Outstanding New Member of the Year” for the state FBLA. She joined the club this past year and took five business classes (four of them being dual enrollment). Transue was elected state vice president for FBLA. Her duties will include attending state meetings and planning the state convention for 2013. Grayden Hemphill was chosen “Outstanding Freshman of the Year” at the convention. He took computer applications, which counts for a high school credit, as well as a college credit. One of the criteria for receiving these awards from the state organization is that members actively pursue their business career while in high school.
