New leadership for Caribou BPW

CARIBOU — Four new leaders were selected to lead the Caribou chapter of the Business and Professional Women during an installation ceremony on May 1.

Elected to lead the group in the upcoming year and beyond were President Rani Belanger, President-Elect Jenny Coon, Secretary Darlene Grass and Treasurer Leah Mazzerole.

During the installation ceremony, Outgoing President Shelley O’Rourke handed off the official gavel to Incoming President Belanger.

There are currently 12 Caribou BPW members, many of which serve on multiple committees:

• President Belanger is on the scholarship and social committees;

• Secretary Grass serves on the audit, scholarship, bylaws and social committees;

• Treasurer Mazzerole serves on the scholarship, bylaws, social and publicity committees;

• Outgoing President O’Rourke serves on the bylaws and nomination committee;

• Nancy Solman, who led the May installation ceremony, serves on the publicity and nomination committees; and

• Dolores Martin serves on the sunshine/nomination committees.

The Caribou BPW group also named Margaret Kimball of Caribou “Woman of the Year” during their April luncheon; Kimball was recently selected as the Maine State BPW’s “Woman of the Year” as well during the State Convention on June 9 in Bangor.
