    The Salmon Brook Historical Society has open hours at the Benjamin Wilder Homestead Museum and the Agricultural Museum on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 8 to 11 a.m. There is no admission charge. Several very interesting exhibits are available for the public to see.

August Fest

    This year’s August Fest will be held Aug. 16-19. The next committee meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on July 11 at the Civic Center. All are welcome — more volunteers would make for an even better August Fest! Check out the Facebook page “Washburn Maine August Festival, August 16-19, 2012.”

Rotary Club

    The Rotary Club truck pulls were a success again this year. Thanks go to all who attended and to those who gave of their time and energy.
