AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage has announced that the Star City will host one of two additional Governor’s Workshops on Job Creation this month.
The seminars are part of a series of industry-specific workshops designed to bring business leaders together to share ideas and concerns about government policy.
“It is critical that we work directly with Maine’s business community to get input and feedback on what we can do to improve job creation in our state,” said LePage. “Mainers deserve prosperity, and state government must be a partner to the business community, and not an adversary, in order to get Maine people back to work.”
Agriculture and forestry will be discussed at the Friday, July 20 workshop at Northern Maine Community College. The free session will run from 8:30 a.m.-noon in the Christie Building.
To register for the Presque Isle workshop, visit the Office of the Governor website at www.Maine.gov/Governor. Seating is limited and registration is required.
The final workshop of the summer is expected to be held in August.
