Donna Corey accompanied her son, Jeremy, and sister, Becky Palmer, on a two-week trip to Pittsburg, Penn., where Jeremy completed his final exams and earned his degree at the Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science. While they were there, they were joined by Shawn and Christina Corey and children Lucas and Anna.
They visited the Children’s Museum and the Pittsburgh Zoo. The next week was spent touring other attractions including a Pittsburgh Pirates game, a visit to Gettysburg, a stop in Hershey where they went to Hershey Park. They also attended a live performance of “Jonah and the Whale” at Sight and Sound in Lancaster before returning home.
Jeremy is employed at Duncan Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle.
Rafting trip
White water rafting trip with the Easton Recreation Department on Saturday, July 28. The cost is $99 (includes lodging, raft and meal) or $135 (two overnights, raft and meal). FMI contact recreation@eastonme.com or check out their website at www.neoc.com.

Wednesday, July 25 — Field trip to UMPI for the climbing wall and low ropes course. The bus will depart from the Hall at 9:40 a.m. and return at 2 p.m. The cost is $25. Lunch will be provided. Open to grades 3 and up. A special release form is required.
Tee-ball from 6-7 p.m. on the field behind the high school.
Thursday, July 26 — Day Camp at the Hall from 9 a.m. to noon. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Zumbatomic from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. at the Hall. Pre-registration required; open to ages 4 and up.
Swimming from 1:45 to 4:15 p.m. Gymnastics from 2:35-4:20 p.m.
Friday, July 27 — Swim lessons departing from the Hall at 8:30 a.m. and returning by 10:20 a.m.
Playgroup from 10:30-11:45 a.m. for ages 3 through completed kindergarten.
Saturday, July 28 — White water rafting trip with the New England Outdoor Center. Pre-registration is required.
Monday, July 30 — Day Camp at the Hall from 9 a.m. to noon. Today we’ll be going to the Science Center. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Senior Nutrition class starting at 11 a.m. in the Manor. The cost is $3. Garden Group at the Hall from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Swimming from 1:45 to 4:15 p.m. Softball playoffs; games will be played at 6 and 7:15 p.m.
Tuesday, July 31 — Day Camp at the Hall from 9 a.m. to noon. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
