Youth Horse Camp being offered

Horse Camp will be offered through the Easton Recreation Department at the Rocking S Ranch on Aug. 6, 7, 9 and 10. The cost is $25. Open to children who have completed grade 2 and up; levels will be determined by your child’s experience with horses. Classes will be held at 9, 10 and 11:30 a.m.
Sympathy
Our sympathy goes out to the family of John Francis Barnes, better known as Jackie. Jackie passed away on July 15 from Alzehimer’s disease. He graduated from Easton in 1958.
We would also like to express our sympathy to the family of Fred Tompkins. Fred passed away on July 22 at a Mars Hill health care facility.
Enjoy summer
As our summer vacation from school seems to be winding down with only a couple more weeks off, enjoy the rest of it. We will be back in school before you know it. Have fun but please keep safe.
Rec calendar
Wednesday, Aug. 1 — Field trip to Meggido Paintball. The bus will depart from the Hall at 9:50 a.m. and return at 2 p.m. The cost is $25 for children 12 and up and $15 for younger children. Lunch will be provided. The younger group will go on a paintball safari and use super soakers and the older group will play scenario paintball. A specific release is required. Participants must also have a release form and birth certificate on file to cross the border.
Tee-ball from 6-7 p.m. on the field behind the high school. Softball playoffs; games will be played at 6 and 7:15 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 2 — County Fun Day at Birch Point in St. David. The bus departs from the Hall at 8:30 a.m. and will return at 3:30 p.m. This will be fun-filled day with rec departments from around the County.

Friday, Aug. 3 — Swim lessons departing from the Hall at 8:30 a.m. and returning by 10:20 a.m.
Playgroup from 10:30-11:45 a.m. for ages 3 through completed kindergarten.
Saturday, Aug. 4 — Softball playoffs; games will be played at 9, 10:15 and 11:30 a.m.
Sunday, Aug. 5 — Softball barbecue for all participants at 5 p.m. at the ball field. Softball finals; games will be played at 6 and 7:15 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 6 — Horse Camp at Rocking S Ranch at 9, 10 and 11:30 a.m. Pre-registration required.
Tuesday, Aug. 7 — Horse Camp at Rocking S Ranch at 9, 10 and 11:30 a.m.
