The winners’ names of the contests during the Houlton State Agricultural Fair have been turned in.
The top three Blueberry Pie winners were: first, Tessa McCormick; second, Candance Donovan and third, Janice Lebel, while the three switched places in the Applie Pie contest, with first going to Donovan; second, Lebel and third, McCormick.
In the Baked Bean contest, Lebel took first, followed by Stella Hanning and third, Amber Lynn Hawksley.
Biscuit makers were, first, Julie Winslow; second, McCormick and third, Melody Goff.
Winners of the Potato Salad contest were, first, Lebel; second, McCormick and third, Donovan.
Cinnamon Roll winners were, first, McCormick; second, Belle Broder and third, Winslow. McCormick took first in the Luscious Lemon Squares.
Bethany Devoe took first place in the Thimble Cookie contest, followed by Sophie Eckstein and Kayla Parker, while the Jackmans finished in the top three spots for Chocolate Chip Cookies, as Tristan was first; Kassidy, second and Aidan, third.
Sara Deveau was the top-honor recipient in the Cheesecake Bar contest, with Rachel Donovan, second, and Shannon Eckstein, third.
“I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped in the Exhibit Hall, without your help it would not be possible,” said Shelbie Hoyt, director. “Thanks goes to Donna Grass, Debbie Melvin and Mary Harbison. I would also like to thank Robin Brady for doing a demonstration for us in spinning. Thank you to all the food judges and judges for the exhibits.”
Melvin and Harbison also were recipients of plaques for Volunteer of the Year.
