CARIBOU — Ninety two youth gathered at the Caribou High School track Monday for the annual Viking Run.

Runners take off in the Viking Run half-mile race for grades 1 and 2 youths, held Monday at Caribou High School. Ninety two runners competed in the annual event.
The event, sponsored by Aroostook Federal Savings and Loan, featured six separate races: a quarter-mile race for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten-age girls, a quarter-mile race for pre-K and K boys, a half-mile race for first- and second-graders, a half-mile race for third- and fourth-graders, a mile race for fifth- and sixth-graders and a mile race for seventh- and eighth-graders.
Everybody participating received a T-shirt and a ribbon, and the top-three girls and boys in each age division received trophies. Those winners are as follows:

Grades 3-4 girls: first, Eva Callioras, 3:46; second, Mikaela Spooner, 4:10; and third, Anna Thibodeau, 4:12; grades 3-4 boys: first, Sawyer Deprey, 3:13; second, Jordan Duplessie, 3:16; and third, Carter Pelletier, 3:20.
Grades 5-6 girls: first, Kassie Krul, 6:43; second, Kaylyn Krul, 7:20; and third, Amber Moir, 7:20; grades 5-6 boys: first, Alex Ezzy, 6:37; second, Parker Deprey, 6:49; and third, Austin Findlen, 6:51.
Grades 7-8 girls: first, Jojo Fields, 7:03; second, Julia Page, 7:06; grades 7-8 boys: first, Josiah Krul, 5:41; second, Evan Desmond, 5:41; and third, Daniel Randolph, 6:24.
