Thomas started his new job in September as head of security for the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s campus. For the past six years, Thomas was a trooper patrolling central Aroostook County and prior to that, served for over two decades as a state liquor enforcement officer before that agency was disbanded in 2003. In the interim, before he joined the State Police, Thomas also was a dispatcher at the Houlton communications center.
