PT Bertha Carr    DANFORTH – Bertha J. Carr, 101, wife of the late Perley Carr, died Sept. 28, 2012, at a Houlton hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1910, in Danforth, the daughter of Fred A. and Jane (Allen) Graham.
    Bertha was a wonderful mother to her family. She was the oldest citizen of Danforth, holding the Boston Gold Cane for seven years.
    She is survived by a son, Allan Carr and his wife, Helen, of Connecticut; three daughters, Pearl Beaulieu of Millinocket, Nadine “Tiney” Carr of Danforth and Susan Darveau and her husband, Raymond, of East Millinocket; many grandchildren, great-grand-children, great-great-grand-children, great-great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Perley Carr, she was predeceased by six children, Burns, Ted, Melita, Natalie, Judy and Terry; three brothers and one sister.
    Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Danforth Hilltop Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Root officiating. Family and friends are welcome at the home of Tommy and Gertie Bonner for a light lunch after the service. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth.
