    PT Charles Daggett JrBUXTON – Charles Willis (Bud) Daggett Jr., 77, of Buxton passed peacefully surrounded by his family on October 24, 2012. Bud was born June 15, 1935 in Houlton, to Charles Willis Daggett, Sr. of Danforth and Madaline Alberta (Hall) Daggett from North Amity. He graduated from Falmouth High School in 1953.
    Bud worked in maintenance at Swampscotta Nursing Home, and in logging, a railroad engineer, construction, carpentry, a surveyor, general handyman, “jack of all trades” and “chief cook and bottle washer.” His hobbies included family, reading scriptures, storytelling, farming, gardening, singing, playing guitar, camping, treasure hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
    He is survived by his wife, Elsie May Daggett and his 18 children: Deborah D., Diana, Rachel, Charles, Raymond, Jonathan, Bonnie, Rebekah, Timothy D., Philip, Deborah H., Jeffrey, Stephen, Janice, Timothy C., Theresa, Mary, Jessica; along with 52 grand-children, and 46 great-grand-children; his sisters, Mary Ellen Cleaves and Victoria Hall, and his first wife; Jodie. He was preceded by his parents, Charles Sr., and Madaline, and his second wife; Shirley Vivian (Grubb) Daggett.
    Pa loved being Pa.
    Visitation was held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel on 76 State Street in Gorham, Maine, from 1-3 p.m. A reception immediately followed at Cressey Road United Methodist Church on 81 Cressey Road, Gorham. Online condolences may be made to www.dolbyfuneral chapels.com.
