Rep. Michael Michaud
(D-Maine)
I’d like to thank Cary Medical Center and everyone who played a role in the Caribou clinic’s creation and success over the last 25 years.
Working with dedicated veterans and the VA, we’ve been able to expand the number of clinics in Maine. These community driven efforts help rural veterans get the health care they earned closer to home. They provide quality services. And they help live up to our nation’s shared commitment to those that served.
Your pioneering efforts and hard work here in Caribou serve as a model for the nation, and you’re still breaking new ground today.
I was proud to see that Cary Medical Center was selected as a pilot location for a program to further improve access to VA care in rural areas. I worked to pass this program into law, and I’m confident Project ARCH will lead to expanded care in Maine and across the country.
Ensuring that our veterans have access to quality health care must always be a priority. As a long-time member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I’m committed to this and look forward to continuing our work together.
Congratulations on this milestone, and keep up the great work.
