     FARMINGTON & PRESQUE ISLE – Averill “Ted” Mayo, 84, formerly of Presque Isle, passed away on Mon., Jan. 7, 2013, at the Sandy River Center for Healthcare in Farmington. He was born on April 30, 1928, in Abbott, ME, the son of Oscar and Evelyn (Buzzell) Mayo.
    He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Ann (Berry) Mayo; children, Brett Mayo, Linda Thompson, Amber Meadows and Tammie Lavoie; a sister, Janet Sylvester; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Memorial graveside services will be held in the spring at the Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton with the day and time to be announced.
