Three area long-term care facilities receive awards

Of the nine Maine administrators who will be receiving the prestigious American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) Facility Leadership Award, three are Aroostook facilities — the Borderview Rehabilitation and Living Center in Van Buren, High View Manor in Madawaska and Forest Hill Manor in Fort Kent.

Selected out of 15,654 long-term care nursing facilities nationwide, the Facility Leadership Award recognizes leadership excellence and offers positive recognition to administrators of these best performing organizations.
Other award recipients in the state included the Heritage Rehabilitation & Living Center in Winthrop, St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor, Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth, Evergreen Manor in Saco, Sunrise Care Facility in Jonesport and the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris.
Officials with the Maine ACHCA Chapter firmly believe that facility excellence is a reflection of leadership excellence and hopes each awardee will attend the Peer Celebration at the 47th Annual Convocation and Exposition, April 12-16 in Orlando at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. The awards luncheon will be on Saturday, April 13, and awardees will be presented with a framed award certificate and press release. For more information about the Annual Convocation, please visit the ACHCA website at www.achca.org.
The Facility Leadership Award is made possible with the support of John Sheridan and eHealth Data Solutions.
