FORT FAIRFIELD – David A. MacDougal, 60, died February 10, 2013 at TAMC following a brief illness. He was born February 20, 1952 at Perth Andover, N.B. He was the son of Arthur W. MacDougal and Mary Kay Goodine MacDougal, who predeceased him.
David was a resident of Fort Fairfield, where he attended local schools. He was a former farmer, mechanic, and spent the last 14 years working for the Town of Fort Fairfield Public Works.
David leaves behind a wife of 40 years, Deborah (Johndro) MacDougal; one son, Tharren, and his wife, Crystal; one daughter, Karen of Fort Fairfield; four brothers, Euguene, Thomas, and Arthur Jr., all of Fort Fairfield, and Fred of Alaska; one sister, Linda Morris of California; two grand-children, Tenessa and her husband, Joe Zetterman, and Dillon MacDougal; two great-grandchildren, Kyraih and Trey Zetterman; several nieces and nephews.
David always had a smile on his face and was willing to help anyone in need. David was admired by his many friends and coworkers. He was always the go-to person to fix anything. David will be missed by many. He put his heart and soul into stock car racing for his son, grandson, and granddaughter. It was his lifetime passion.
