Walking hours

    The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center hours are Monday through Friday 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday from noon-4 p.m. The facility is closed on Sundays.

 

Ping Pong tourney

    The annual Ping Pong Tournament for ages 18 and over will take place Wednesday, Feb. 20 beginning at 6 p.m. There will be singles and doubles categories. Pre-registration is required.

Take It Outside

    Youth in grades 3-5 will be transported to Aroostook State Park for a day of cross country skiing, snow shoeing and sliding on Thursday, Feb. 21. The van leaves the recreation center at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 2:30 p.m. There is a fee of $7 per child. Space is limited to 12 participants and pre-registration is required.
Family Fun Night

    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will host a Family Fun Night from 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21. There will be games, inflatables, and the infamous Tim the TuneMan will be on hand. Everyone is welcome to drop in and have some fun. All children must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.

Arm wrestling

    The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will host an arm wrestling contest on Saturday, Feb. 23., with weigh-ins from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and the competition beginning at 1 p.m.
    There will be junior and women’s classes available also. An adult must be present for competitors 18 years and under. This will be a family event. The entry fee is $20 for general entry and $10 for additional classes.

February Frolic

    The second annual February Frolic will be held at the Caribou High School Ski Center and the Caribou Country Club Ski Trails on Sunday, Feb. 24. Registration is at 10 a.m. on race day at the ski center for both events or noon at the Caribou Country Club for the Henry Anderson Ski Dag.
    The 5K New Year’s Skate Race and Tour starts at 11 a.m. at the CHS Ski Trails. There will be a kids’ radar run from noon-1 p.m. at the Caribou Country Club for all ages. The five-mile classic-style Henry Anderson Ski  Dag Race or Tour starts at 1:30 p.m. at the Caribou Country Club. Lunch will be available at the Caribou Country Club from noon-3 p.m.,  include chicken stew.
