The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department hosted the local basketball Hotshot contest Friday, Jan. 25.
Approximately 40 youth participated in the event to try to qualify for the regionals, which will be held at the Caribou Wellness Center today. Winners in this event will qualify to participate in the state competition, to be held at the Portland Expo in March.

9-10 girls: first, Kimmy Susi, 51 points; second, Abigail Robbins, 41; and third, Madison Stratton, 39; 9-10 boys: first, Parker Deprey, 122; second, Jake Berkoski, 117; and third, Sawyer Deprey, 110.
11-12 girls: first, Kassie Krul, 91; second, Abby Parks, 46; an third, Kaylyn Krul, 44; 11-12 boys: first, Alex Bouchard, 111; second, Dagan Savage, 98; and third, Dawson Hebert, 96
13-15 girls: first, Madison Doucette, 88; second, Gabrielle Marquis, 80; 13-15 boys: first, Josiah Krul, 97; second, Nick Allen, 89; and third, Noah Rosado, 78.
16-18 girls: first, Amber Bonewicz, 69.
