McDunnah, James P., 32, February 23, 2013.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 2 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, East Millinocket. Spring interment to be held in the East Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements by Lamson Funeral Home.

PT James P. McDunnahEAST MILLINOCKET – James P. “Jamie” McDunnah, 32, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 23, 2013, at his home.  He was born May 23, 1980, in Houlton, the son of Thomas P. and Lisa L. (Sherman) McDunnah.
    Jamie was a graduate of Schenck High School, class of 1998.  While in high school, he excelled in athletics, and was particularly talented in soccer and basketball.  Jamie loved the sport of racing, and grew up racing with his father and brothers, and went on to work for several years in the Winston Cup Series.  He worked for Roy Hill Drag Racing School for a period of time, and was a licensed drag race driver and held license #PS1000.  Jamie was privileged and proud to have worked for the racing teams of Ricky Rudd, Dale Jarrett, and Matt Kenseth, and was a member of the Robert Yates Racing Team, for which Dale Jarrett was driver, which won the Winston Cup Championship Series in 1999.  While auto racing was where he worked, Jamie also enjoyed dirt biking and moto cross racing. 
    He is survived by his parents, Thomas P. McDunnah of East Millinocket, and Lisa L. Fogarty and her companion Tim Suitter of Houlton; a son, Maverick McDunnah of Winthrop; four siblings, Cameron McDunnah and his wife Melissa of East Millinocket, Geoffrey McDunnah and his wife Angela of Old Town, and Kacey Fogarty and Brittany Fogarty of Houlton; paternal grandmother, Anna McDunnah of East Millinocket; maternal grandmother, Sandra Duff of Littleton, maternal grandmother, Arlene Crosby of Ludlow; four nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Mitchell, Madison, and Mason, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Jamie will also be missed by Maverick’s mother, Rachel Monahan of Winthrop, special aunts, Lana Desmond and Laurie Moscone and her husband Bob, and special cousins, D.J. McDunnah and wife Kara and family, Matthew Moscone and wife Darlene and Michelle Moscone.
    He was predeceased by his paternal great grandparents, Linwood “Pup” McDunnah and Rose McDunnah, paternal grandfather, Delmont McDunnah, maternal grandfather, Philip Sherman, and an uncle, Richard McDunnah.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 P.M. Saturday, March 2 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 58 Cedar St., East Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.  Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church from 11 A.M. until the time of the Mass.  Spring interment will be at the East Millinocket Cemetery.  Gifts in memory of Jamie may be sent to the Maverick McDunnah education fund C/O EastMill Federal Credit Union, 60 Main St., East Millinocket, ME  04430.   Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, East Millinocket.  Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.lamsonfh.com
