All-stars play Tuesday
CARIBOU — The rosters for the 23rd Annual Aroostook County All-Star High School Basketball Classic feature 20 girls and 20 boys from the senior class of 2013, representing 15 County schools. The games will be held Tuesday, March 5, at Caribou High School.
The girls game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the boys game follows at 7 p.m. at the Caribou High School Gymnasium. Admission is $5 for adults, and $3 for students. All proceeds benefit the Aroostook League Scholar Athletes Scholarship Program.
The evening will also feature a half-court shot promotion sponsored by County Physical Therapy and halftime entertainment from The Maine Dance Academy.
For the girls, Team Candy Pink will be coached by Ron Ericson, and will include Kayla Cote, Ashland; Kayla Cushman, Central Aroostook; Carla Halvorson, Easton; Sydney Churchill, Fort Fairfield; Kelly Dugal, Madawaska; Karlee Bernier, Chandler Guerrette, Megan Ireland and Meredith Stewart, Presque Isle; and Olivia Doody, Washburn.
The other girls team, Team Iris Blue, will be coached by Tom Berry, and includes Alexa Massey and Rebecca McDougal, Caribou; Abby Bouchard and Alexis Desjardins, Fort Kent; Lacey McQuarrie and Mariah Wiley, Hodgdon; Marina Cameron and Tori Hanson, Houlton; Megan Merry, Katahdin; and Desirae Dubois, Southern Aroostook.
For the boys, Team Cherry Red will be coached by Larry Worcester, and will include Steven Decker and Joe Stiles, Central Aroostook; Stephen Andrew Lewis, Fort Fairfield; Josh Hudson, Devon Logie, and Nick Lunn, Hodgdon; Dan Swallow, Houlton; Jesse Boulier, Southern Aroostook; and Nick Bragg and Mitch Worcester, Washburn.
The other boys team, Team Royal Blue, will be coached by Mike Fogarty, and will include Tyler Levesque, Ashland; Devin Berkoski, Caribou; Jared Hafford, Easton; Charlie Nadeau, Fort Kent; Colton Bivighouse, Katahdin; Nate Tucker, Limestone/MSSM; Aaron Thibeault, Madawaska; Tyler Brooks and Jonah Stephenson, Presque Isle; and Marc Lajoie, Van Buren.
