“Darcie A. Ladner, 40, of Mars Hill was traveling north on the Houlton Road in a 2003 Chevrolet Venture. She crossed the center line for unknown reasons, striking a southbound 1997 Freightliner tractor-trailer truck owned by Sunshine Transportation and driven by Mark J. Farrar, 46, of Mars Hill,” said Officer Kevin Reed, PIPD, who responded to investigation the crash.

Ladner sustained minor injuries. Farrar was not hurt.

“Presque Isle firefighters used hydraulic equipment to extricate Ladner from her vehicle. Ladner suffered injuries to her left hand and foot and was transported to The Aroostook Medical Center by Crown Ambulance. Farrar was not injured,” said Reed.

Westerdahl’s of Littleton was called to tow the Freightliner, which sustained thousands in damage. Ladner’s vehicle was considered a total loss, with Impact Auto requested to remove the vehicle from the scene.
