The Quoggy Jo Ski Club holds youth races Sundays for skiing and snowboarding.

Youth hockey fundraiser
A stew night fundraiser will be held Friday, March 15 from 5-7 p.m. at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club. All proceeds will go to support Presque Isle Youth Hockey. The cost will range from $1 to $6.
UMFK nurses group to host Polar Bear 5K March 16
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Student Nurses Organization will host a Polar Bear 5K Run/Walk Race on Saturday, March 16. Race time is 10 a.m.
Race-day registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the UMFK Cyr Hall parking lot. The fee for the race is $15 per person. The first 100 people to register will receive a race T-shirt. The race route is around the mills.
The proceeds will benefit the UMFK Student Nurses Organization and a local charity.

UMPI baseball clinic
The University of Maine at Presque Isle baseball team will hold a three-day baseball clinic in Wieden Gymnasium March 15-17.
Participants can choose to go to three different sessions and the cost will be as follows: $40 for one session, $70 for two sessions, and $90 for three sessions. Session one, on Friday, March 15 from 6-9 p.m., will be throwing and catching mechanics, fielding groundballs and fly balls. Session two, on Saturday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., will be hitting and bunting instruction. Session three, on Sunday, March 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., will be more hitting and base running.

XC skiing event
The UM-Presque Isle Outing Club invites the public to join them for an afternoon of cross country skiing at Aroostook State Park on Friday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
Cost for UMPI students is free with student ID; non-students, $3. The fee includes ski rental, transportation and instruction. For more information, call 768-9401.
