’Cat skiers recognized
Two members of the Presque Isle varsity ski team were named to elite teams that competed earlier this month.
Emma Bartlett was a member of the Maine Alpine Ski Team and competed in the Alpine Eastern High School Championships in Franconia, N.H. She had qualified by finishing fourth in the slalom at the Class B state ski meet in February.
Cross country skier Jonathan Rochester represented Maine at the New England Nordic Ski Association’s Eastern High School Championships, which took place at the Nordic Heritage Center in mid-March.
