Should kids have increased physical education classes or time? Yes, they should. The reason behind this is we don’t have enough physical activity in school. People need physical education. Anybody can become obese. People need to understand that without physical activity in a child’s day, it can lead to a life of obesity.

Physical education is a must have in the United States, but some states don’t require physical education. Longer activity times lead to kids and adults living healthy lifestyles. Mississippi has the highest obesity rate in the United States. The reason is they don’t have very much physical activity. South Dakota and Kansas are the only two states that don’t have physical education class, but a lot of the 50 states have very little physical activity. Maine has some physical education classes, but not enough to meet the requirement.
We can get back on track by increasing our physical activity and by having more physical education classes. Middle and high school students should have 60 minutes a day and at least 15 to 225 minutes of physical activity a week. Doing this can improve our obesity rates and make us a healthier nation. Although we are the biggest offenders of obesity, other countries encounter this problem as well.
The conclusion to this problem is we need to have more physical education times and classes. If we improved our health, we wouldn’t have to worry about tour obesity rates anymore and we could all live a healthy lifestyle. Kids should live lives without worry of being overweight. Anybody could become obese and kids can adopt this lifestyle from their parents. This can happen because parents are essential role models to their children. This is why we should have increased classes for physical activity in school.
