To the editor:
On May 9, 2013, the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Recognition Dinner at the Caribou Inn & Convention Center. This is our annual celebration to fete who we are and what makes our area unique and special. The menu has been planned and set up and it should be a great evening. But just one thing is missing. We need nominations!
The Recognition Dinner will hand out the following awards:
• Lifetime Achievement Award – What person who, during his or her long association with the community, has done much to enrich Caribou and its citizens.
• Business of the Year – What business had the most impact on our community during this past year?
• Citizen of the Year – Who made a difference this year? Who inspired or fascinated you?
• Spirit of Caribou – What person, business or organization best exemplifies our way of life, our ideals and our hopes?
• Downtown Revitalization Award – What downtown business or organization gave the most hope of turning our downtown into a place to go?
Please send in your nominations via mail to The Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce, 657 Main St Ste 1, Caribou, ME 04736 or send me an e-mail to cacc@cariboumaine.net. Your nominations should include a description of why your nominated person or business should win this year’s award.
Thank you in advance for your help.
