Saucier to play hoop at Husson

    BANGOR — Rashell Saucier has paid her initial deposit to attend Husson University in the fall of 2013 and plans to play basketball next winter.
    Saucier is a 5-foot-9 guard-forward from Washburn. She is a transfer from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where she played for two seasons. Saucier was UMPI’s leading scorer, averaging 12.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in 2011-12. She took the 2012-13 season off to work so that she could continue to pursue her college dreams.
    “Now is the time for a new chapter in my life. I am very excited to meet new people, get into my occupational therapy degree, and play for coach [Kissy] Walker,” Saucier said.
